Who we are

Auto Spa Detailing runs this website and is responsible for your personal data (the "controller" under UK data protection law).

What we collect

Only what you give us:

• When you book: your name, phone number, email address, the address where the vehicle is, vehicle details (size, make, model and registration if you add it), the service and time you choose, and any notes you write.
• When you send an enquiry: your name, the contact details you give, your message and anything else you add (vehicle, postcode).

We don't use advertising or tracking tools, and we don't build profiles of visitors. Our web server keeps short technical logs (such as your device's internet address) for security, and these are deleted after a short time.

How we use it

• To arrange and carry out the work you booked, and to contact you about it (for example to confirm a time or tell you we're on our way). The law calls this "performance of a contract".
• To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote ("steps before entering a contract", or our "legitimate interest" in answering people who contact us).
• To keep proper business and tax records ("legal obligation").

We don't send marketing messages, and we never sell or rent your details.

Who we share it with

No one, except the services that help us run the business: the company that hosts this website and our email provider, which handle the data only on our instructions. If we're ever legally required to share information (for example with HMRC), we will.

How long we keep it

• Bookings: up to 6 years after the booking date, which is how long we must keep business records.
• Enquiries that didn't lead to a booking: up to 12 months.

After that we delete them. You can ask us to delete your details sooner, unless we need to keep them by law.

Cookies and similar

This site doesn't set any cookies for visitors. If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is remembered in your own browser and never sent to us. The only cookie we use is a sign-in cookie for the business owner's admin area, which is strictly necessary and only set when the owner signs in.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it given to you in a portable form. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We'll answer within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113). We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Keeping it safe

Your details are sent to us over an encrypted connection, stored on a secured server and seen only by us. Our admin area is protected by a strong password.
